I have always enjoyed early morning hunts with a retriever by my side. The synchronicity of working in tandem towards a common goal builds trust and camaraderie between man and dog. The morning fog lifts through the grass and there is almost a reverent hush over the field.
Displayed in a hand-carved frame, handcrafted by the artist and water gilded with 22 Kt. gold leaf, installed with an archival, hand-wrapped linen mat.
The white clapboard was weathered and peeling; and by the look of the rusted nails, the door had been boarded off for quite some time. I am still curious as to what was stored inside.
