Featured in Watercolor Magazine, as one of The Best in Watercolor for 2024, Alan Shuptrine is sought after for his detailed and emotional works, depicting the Realism enhanced by his father, Hubert Shuptrine, and Andrew Wyeth.  Most original works by Shuptrine are displayed in specifically designed and detailed hand-carved, and gilded frames, all with museum fittings. Shuptrine is known for his technical ability in watercolor, and his specific attention to detail in both his paintings and handcrafted frames.  Following his exhibitions at the Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy, and as Artist in Residence and featured artist at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina, Shuptrine is tracing his steps back across the pond.  He will be visiting Ireland in Fall, 2024, teaching classes and gathering subject matter for the follow up to his successful museum exhibition, Alan Shuptrine: Watercolors of The Serpentine Chain.  Shuptrine has been invited as the Artist in Residence and Featured Artist at the historical Skibo Castle in Scotland for Fall 2025.
