Featured in Watercolor Magazine, as one of The Best in Watercolor , Alan Shuptrine is sought after for his detailed and emotional works, depicting the Realism enhanced by his father, Hubert Shuptrine, and Andrew Wyeth.  Most original works by Shuptrine are displayed in specifically designed and detailed hand-carved, and gilded frames.  Shuptrine's most recent exhibition was as the Artist in Residence and Featured Artist at the historical Skibo Castle in Scotland during Fall 2025. He continues teaching classes and gathering subject matter for the follow up to his successful museum exhibition, Alan Shuptrine: Watercolors of The Serpentine Chain.
