Most original works by Shuptrine are displayed in specifically designed and detailed hand-carved, and gilded frames, all with museum fittings. Shuptrine is known for his technical ability in watercolor, and his specific attention to detail in both his paintings and handcrafted frames.  The focus of 2022 was Shuptrine's works in Gold Leaf and Exhibiting in Florence, Italy, along with a concentration on his love of sailing and fishing, reflecting coastal Americana. Shuptrine will be exhibiting in Greenville, SC in February and has been honored to be invited as the Artist in Residence at Palmetto Bluff and Montage Resort for August 2023
